Listing and Advertising Information
Please read before you send a
calendar listing.
This site is my hobby—it takes plenty of time and resources (though I enjoy
it, of course). Sometimes 40 to 60 hours a month.
In trying to keep with the
original mission of the site, AshlandLiveMusic only lists live music events in
Ashland and Talent for free
(up to eight events a month for non-sponsoring venues). Anything beyond Ashland/Talent requires an ad (see rates below). I
don't do that to
discourage listings but because I don't have the resources to list
events beyond the immediate areas unless they are sponsored.
Your sponsorship dollars help keep
the site going
and I am very grateful for advertisers. I
am indebited to local venues,
musicians, and businesses who sponsor and support the site. Their
listings are highlighted on the actual calendar, in addition to their
display ads. And frankly, their support of the site provides them with
more immediate attention from me when they need it. And, in fact, if
you are a local venue with a lot of listings, I will ask you to
advertise.
If your listing meets the above criteria (live music in Ashland and
Talent--or beyond with sponsporship), please contact me here:

Ad info:
The standard ad size is 150 pixels by 180 pixels, which is roughly 2
inches by 2.5 inches. It looks like this:
It sits above the calendar like the ones already on the page. Your
ad can link to more information: your venue's Web site or page, gig
details, or,
in the case of an event, a larger poster.
Clubs, venues,
promoters, businesses:
Ongoing ad rates are $20 per month but qualify for discounts when
bought in three, six, or 12-month increments. Legacy advertisers
receive their ongoing rates.
Event/gig
ads: One-time event or gig ads are $15 and run no more than
two
weeks prior to the event, except by prior agreement. They get pulled
right after the event. New:
To save time, I am willing to reduce posters to run as ads. A typical
event ad could be 134 x 201 pixels, which makes it the same total area
as a standard ad.
Musicians and
charity events: Bands,
musicians, performers, and charities who sponsor one-time fundraisers
may qualify for special rates. Musicians who run ongoing ads
qualify for a
courtesy rate—please ask.
I greatly prefer Web-ready ads but can work with you to create
or modify your material.
Individual
contributors: A
frequent user of this site suggested that if you, as a patron, find the site useful, you can contribute via
Paypal. He likened it to a pledge drive at JPR.
If everyone who finds value in AshlandLiveMusic.com were to contribute
$2 – $10, or what you feel the service is worth to you, it would help
to cover the time spent putting it together.
I have never intended the public to have to pay for this service, but if you
would like to volunteer to contribute, please click the direct, secure PayPal link below.
Your support will help to keep ALM going.

Thanks so much, I appreciate your support!
